Advocacy
Immigrants and refugees are our family, neighbors, classmates and friends, and are an integral part of our region. They should be welcomed and treated with dignity and respect. The San Diego Immigrant Rights Consortium (SDIRC) advocates for policies that advance the human and civil rights of immigrants and refugees on the local, state and federal levels, and monitors the implementation of local and state policies in San Diego County.
Education & Engagement
The San Diego Immigrant Rights Consortium (SDIRC) is committed to engaging, educating and activating immigrant and refugee communities as partners in advancing civil and human rights.
Frame the Narrative
Immigrant and refugee stories represent a vital part of our shared narrative. SDIRC works to frame the narrative on immigrant and refugee issues and advance a positive narrative on immigrants in San Diego and beyond.
Strengthen & Develop
Strengthening the impact and reach of the San Diego Immigrant Rights Coalition (SDIRC) is critical to our success. SDIRC dedicates time to coalition development in the form of training, general meetings, planning, recruitment, strategic planning and communications training.
